Privacy Policy
This page explains what personal information heymarc.mx collects, what I do with it, and what you can ask me to do about it.
What I collect
What you send me. If you use the contact form, I get what you enter: your name, your email address, your phone number if you add one, what you're asking about and your message. If you email me, I get what you choose to share: usually your name, your email address and your message.
Visit data. The site is hosted by Vercel. Like any web host, Vercel processes technical details of each request, such as your IP address and browser, to deliver the pages and keep them secure. I also use Vercel Web Analytics, which counts visits anonymously: the page, the site that sent you, your approximate location, and your device, operating system and browser. It sets no cookies, and the data isn't tied to you or your IP address.
Music players. The About page lists four of my tracks and a DJ set. Nothing from Apple Music, Spotify or SoundCloud loads until you press one. Then that service's player loads in the page: it receives your IP address and browser details and may set its own cookies, under its own privacy policy.
The form's bot check. When you start filling in a contact form, it loads Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that a person is sending it, not a bot. To tell, Cloudflare reads technical details from your browser, such as your IP address and browser version, and uses them only to detect bots. It doesn't see what you type in the form.
Cookies. None from this site. The Cookie Policy has the details.
Google tools
This site doesn't use Google Analytics (GA4) or Google Tag Manager (GTM), so no Google tracking scripts or cookies load here. I do use Google Search Console (GSC), which shows how the site appears in Google Search: the searches it shows up for, and how often people click through. Google reports that in aggregate; it doesn't run on this site and doesn't identify you.
How I use it
To reply to you, to schedule and hold our calls, to do the work you hire me for, and to see which pages people read. I don't sell, rent or trade your information, and I won't add you to a mailing list without asking.
How long I keep it
Messages, whether you email me or use the contact form, stay in my email while we're talking or working together. Records of paid work are kept as long as tax law requires. If a conversation doesn't turn into work, I delete it within days, or sooner if you ask.
Who else sees it
Only the services that run the site and my email: Vercel (hosting, analytics and the contact form), Cloudflare (the form's bot check), Resend (which delivers the form's messages to my email) and my email provider. Each handles your data under its own privacy policy. If you press play on one of my tracks, Apple Music, Spotify or SoundCloud too, as above. Beyond that, I share it only if the law requires me to.
Your rights
You can ask to see the personal information I hold about you, correct it, delete it, or object to how I use it. Email ops@heymarc.mx.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS and collects as little as it can. No transmission over the internet is completely secure, though, so I can't guarantee it.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version goes on this page with a new date.
